The College of Journalism and Communication's public relations program at the University of Florida afforded me many opportunities to create public relations materials for a combination of real and theoretical clients. Below you will find examples.
PR Research: Everblue Communications

Political marketing agency Everblue Communications partnered with my public relations research class to enlist our help in creating a strategy to keep Gainesville Regional Utilities a publicly owned company. My team completed extensive qualitative and quantitative research to better understand our publics. We then made informed recommendations to Everblue Communications to use in their campaign. Out of the five-team competition, the client picked my team as the winner.
PR Strategy: SOS Parkland

In my public relations strategy class, my team chose to work with a nonprofit organization in my hometown of Parkland, Florida called SOS Parkland. SOS Parkland advocates and raises funds to secure Parkland schools after the high school shooting in 2018. My team spent the semester creating an in-depth situation analysis and strategic plan. We examined SOS Parkland’s current structure and status, communication goals, affected publics, media coverage, nonprofit trends and the state of school safety. Using our research, we then determined a strategy to improve its financial support and increase community involvement.
PR Writing: See Me, See Her Campaign

My semester-long project in public relations writing was to create a corporate social responsibility campaign between a for-profit corporation and a nonprofit organization. I worked with one other student to create the "See Me, See Her Campaign", an initiative between the beauty brand Glossier and the A21 Campaign, an organization working to end human trafficking. Our campaign was founded in secondary research and we used those insights to build a four-part strategy. We then produced internal and external public relations writing materials that would fuel the theoretical campaign.
